LC-Mass Spec Validation Manager/ Clinical Toxicologist (Charlotte, NC)
To plan, organize, and lead laboratory services in the designated specialty or shift to meet requirements of all accrediting agencies including CLIA, CAP, and Joint Commission.
Perform routine Laboratory duties utilizing established protocol and
procedures, which include setting up specimens and conducting Laboratory
tests where range of possible results is limited.
Primary operator of a liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometer.
Operate the Mass spec based testing in overall quality control and quality assurance practices.
Assures all records of analyses performed are accurate and properly archived.
Assist with CLIA based CAP/COLA accredited laboratory SOP updates and modifications.
Provides detailed customer consultation for physicians and other health care professionals in regards to drug testing methods, drug metabolism and excretion.
Maintain the laboratory in an inspection readiness status at all times.
Interact with other departments such as sales, customer service and IT. Provides assistance with method development and validation as required.
MAJOR QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDING EDUCATION, BACKGROUND, PRIOR EXPERIENCE, ETC.):
BS or MS in Science-related field (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, etc.)
Documentation of training in Shimadzu LC/MS/MS is plus.
Documentation of training and 3-5 yrs. of experience in the field of clinical toxicology.
